Introduction:
Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) which aims to provide independent, reliable, valued, insightful and timely assurance to the Board and executive management. This is achieved by looking at the effectiveness of governance, risk/control framework over current and evolving risks, within the current and expected business environment and in accordance with the international standards definition of internal auditing.

What will you be doing?
- Executing the delivery of the BIA Finance Audit plan
- To develop strong client relationships and support delivery of BIA Audit Plan.
- Manage audit work to ensure that relevant risks and controls have been identified and appropriately assessed.
- Owning audit products front to back, including scoping decisions and report issuance
- Execute continuous monitoring to enable timely risk assessment across the audit universe.
- Work with the VP to ensure ongoing risk assessment and audit plan are complete and accurate

What we’re looking for:

- Strong understanding of Financial Control and Reporting processes in Financial Services (eg., month end close, manual adjustments, IFRS 9 accounting)
- Experienced working in Global banks, interacting in teams in multi locations.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively to senior stakeholders
- Qualification in quantitative discipline (e.g Accounting, Auditing, CA, CIA, MBA Finance) Understanding of.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Experience in Tax/Financial Control & Reporting/Regulatory Reporting, as either an auditor or from working in the 1st/2nd line of defence
- Financial services experience and familiar with investment bank accounting controls
- Proven ability to deliver timely high quality analytical work in a relatively unsupervised environment
