**Position Description: Marketing Project Owner (MPO)**
LCCI Marketing Project Owner (MPO) is a thought leader responsible for driving process excellence, SME leadership, and optimizing the speed, quality, and accuracy of marketing materials. The role ensures adherence to Global Quality Standards through continuous improvement and corrective actions while supporting quality reviews/consultations on marketing items for Lilly USA and providing day-to-day quality oversight and CIQ management. By collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, the MPO supports product launches, manages compliance risks, drives process automation initiatives and leads ideas that streamline the promotional materials lifecycle. Additionally, the MPO guides training, onboarding, and SME groups to drive innovation, enabling teams to focus on delivering customer-centric, compliant marketing content that enhances the Lilly customer experience.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
**1. Process Excellence & SME Operations**:
- Lead the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within Marketing Process Operations (e.g., ARC, WRIKE, VAE/CLM, Binder Excellence, ACA, Verso CAP, Power BI). Oversee compliance reports and guide the SMEs in aligning with organizational goals.
- Lead the analysis of rework through reporting tools like Power BI and ensure compliance with systems such as Veeva and Wrike. Provide data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and process adjustments.
- Drive process standardization, enhancement, and automation initiatives to streamline marketing operations. Ensure the speed, quality, and accuracy of marketing materials are consistently improved.
- Serve as the thought leader, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and process optimization. Lead efforts to reduce deviations, increase accuracy, and ensure compliance readiness.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize marketing operations. Lead process innovation initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce risks, and enhance the value of marketing projects. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the smooth execution of process improvements
- Coach the team on the principles of Project Management, focusing on Agile methodologies. Ensure effective use of project management tools and adherence to timelines and objectives.
- Functional Training & Onboarding: Lead training initiatives for new hires, ensuring they quickly understand the processes and tools in place. Act as a mentor to help onboard new team members effectively.
**2. Customer Information Quality (CIQ) Representative**:
- Manage the development, revision, and periodic review of quality system documents using Veeva Quality Docs, in coordination with the CIQ document controller, to ensure ongoing operational efficiency and compliance.
- Act as a process leader by reviewing proposed process revisions, providing feedback for clarity, feasibility, and risk mitigation, and ensuring consistent implementation across teams.
- Enhance aspects of the quality system in place to increase efficiency, reduce risk and anticipate compliance gaps. Proactively propose solutions through change management.
- Conduct CIQ learning sessions, helping cross-functional teams understand regulatory standards and quality systems.
**3. Project Management**:
- End-to-End Project Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of marketing projects from inception to launch, managing timelines, risks, and project scope. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (brand, medical, legal, external agencies) to ensure alignment on deliverables.
- Agile Framework: Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups to ensure timely progress. Adapt to changes and maintain flexibility in a dynamic environment.
- Proactively identify project risks and changes, ensuring timely resolution. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed about project milestones and outcomes.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as agencies, technology providers, and advocacy groups, to co-create innovative and impactful solutions that meet customer needs and expectations
