Product Owner

Overview:
The Product Owner for Q-SYS Reflect Cloud (CPO) will support the development, planning, and execution of the cloud platform roadmap, working closely with the Director of Product Strategy for Cloud and Control and the software development teams. They will oversee the feature backlog, set sprint priorities, and define requirements for new features and integrations with third-party technologies and alliance partners. The CPO will ensure that product initiatives align with the overarching cloud platform strategy, coordinating with internal development teams to achieve timely, technically sound delivery.

The CPO will play a key role in translating market and customer insights into actionable development tasks, maintaining short
- and long-term goals for platform performance, reliability, and scalability. They will also work with Product Marketing to position the Q-SYS Reflect cloud platform as a market differentiator. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to build and manage a robust roadmap that supports Q-SYS Reflect’s growth and customer needs.

**Responsibilities**:
The CPO will serve as a critical resource for the Q-SYS Developer Team, overseeing the full lifecycle of cloud platform features, from concept to retirement. They will work closely with the product development leadership to validate customer requirements and set internal commitments. Key responsibilities include:

- Act as the customer advocate within the development process, ensuring user needs are accurately represented.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to bring cloud solutions to market efficiently.
- Maintain and prioritize the cloud feature backlog, incorporating customer feature requests and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Strategy Leads to ensure adherence to cloud platform standards across development teams (PODs).
- Draft cloud initiatives and epics for each development quarter, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Proactively identify potential obstacles and collaborate on solutions to maintain project momentum and timely delivery.

The CPO will collaborate closely with Product Marketing Managers and Sales to enhance cross-functional engagement with Q-SYS Reflect Product Management, contributing to the effective positioning, messaging, and market success of the cloud platform. Key responsibilities include:

- Develop and refine cloud platform positioning in partnership with Marketing, ensuring messaging aligns with Q-SYS’s broader value proposition.
- Drive demand creation for cloud features by leveraging deep Q-SYS platform knowledge, positioning features to address customer pain points effectively.
- Serve as the market expert, understanding buyer personas, purchasing motivations, and the competitive landscape to shape product and marketing strategies.

Qualifications:

- 3+ yrs of experience in product owner or product management role for a Cloud based platform or SaaS products.
- BA/BS preferred
- Experience supporting or managing cloud platforms, with familiarity in areas like cloud infrastructure, subscription services, or RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management).
- Proven track record of working in Agile environments, with a strong understanding of backlog management, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration in product development cycles.
- Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO))
- Additional certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Fundamentals) are a plus, as they indicate familiarity with cloud environments and infrastructure.
