Product Owner

As a Team Product Owner, you will collaborate with global stakeholders to understand the requirements of Epiroc’s customers and internal teams, ensuring the delivery of optimal solutions swiftly using agile methodologies. You will be responsible for managing product backlogs, developing product roadmaps, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through servant leadership.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Product Ownership: Plan and manage sprints, prioritize product backlogs, and align with customer and stakeholder requirements. Develop and maintain product roadmaps to guide strategic development.
- Understand Technical Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp technical needs, build teams, and deliver effective solutions.
- Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and coach the development team using a servant leadership approach, fostering a high-performing, innovative, and collaborative environment. Empower team members by providing the support and resources they need to succeed.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project goals and progress.
- Agile Practices: Implement and nurture agile methodologies within the team, ensuring alignment with Epiroc's values and strategic goals.
- Collaboration and Growth: Encourage collaboration within and across teams to achieve Epiroc's vision of sustainable mining solutions.
- Problem Solving and Support: Engage with the team to identify and overcome execution challenges, ensuring timely project deliveries.
- Recruitment and Talent Development: Support the recruitment and development of team members with necessary technical skills and soft skills.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and processes, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance with industry standards.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Experience Requirements**: 10 -15 years of experience in software development and 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in the mining or construction industries.
- **Educational Background**: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Leadership Skill: Embrace a leadership approach with a proactive, can-do attitude and a curiosity to learn.
- Communication and Project Management: Strong communication skills coupled with excellent project management capabilities, along with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency:

- Proficiency in software development, particularly in C, C++, Python, and experience with embedded systems.
- UI/UX Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with UI/UX teams to ensure user-centric design and functionality.
- Experience with agile tools such as Azure DevOps or Git.
- Awareness of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing methodologies

**Good to Have**:

- **International Experience**: Experience working with **European or US clients** and onsite experience, demonstrating an understanding of cross-cultural collaboration.
- **Agile Certifications**: Certifications such as **SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)**, indicating proficiency in agile methodologies and team management.
- Knowledge of the latest advancements in software development, automation, and embedded systems.
