**Job Summary**:
- Under general supervision, responsible for the procurement of IT software, hardware and services. Responsibilities include monitoring software compliance, vendor negotiation / relationship management, creation of software trending reports for business consumption, issuing of purchase orders for approved requests, overseeing computer refresh and new hire inventory and the computer image and model refresh processes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- . Processes purchase orders for approved requisitions via ad hoc requests or through a web-based tool. Provides IT review of agreement and scope requirements. Performs usage imports of top software titles to provide business representative with trending data. Leads review sessions with business representatives on overall reporting, process changes and CIO recommendations on cost control and cost savings. Performs analysis of software metering reports as assigned and provide / implement recommendations for consolidation or usage adjustments based on business approval. Coordinates IT contract review process for new orders / suppliers with IT Contract Manager and internal Legal department. Assists in software inventory and audit activities. Maintains and evaluate supplier/vendor relationships including assisting with claims resolution or dispute events with suppliers/vendors. Participates in the monitoring of global computer inventory against new hire forecasts/refresh schedules to ensure adequate inventory is ordered just in time to meet those requirements
- This includes recommending purchase quantities, coordinating completion of required authorization for expenditure documents and order placement/coordination globally. Leads the computer standards selection and image creation processes
- Work with business representatives to evaluate hardware options and overall performance
- Streamline image and procurement processes with 3rd party vendors. Performs competitive bidding exercises including leading and managing the evaluation process through the distribution of quotations, requirements/standards evaluation and collaboration with business lines regarding the evaluation of potential hardware/software solutions. Identifies and requests updates or enhancements to IT service / product catalog to meet business requirements. Manages software / hardware maintenance renewal process including evaluating alternative license models at renewal and analysis of installation base resulting in renewal recommendations to the Black and Veatch business lines. Facilitates the invoice approval process by ensuring all orders are documented and approved. Provides recommendations to CIO team on internal process efficiencies and cost savings potential
- Oversee or assist in the implementation of such recommendations as approved. Assists in software inventory and audit activities. Other Vendor Management Office duties as assigned. Individual contributor with no subordinates
