Inventory Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Executive to oversee the stores, inwards, and outwards processes in our warehouse. The role involves managing stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory records, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams, and optimizing inventory flow to minimize losses and improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory & Stock Management
Maintain accurate records of all stock movements (inward & outward) using ERP or inventory management systems.
Conduct routine stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) inventory principles where applicable.
Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent product damage, spoilage, or obsolescence.
2. Stores Management
Oversee warehouse organization, layout, and space utilization to improve efficiency.
Ensure proper labeling, binning, and categorisation of all inventory items.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment in line with company policies.
Coordinate with the Quality Control team for inspection of incoming goods.
3. Inward Process (Receiving & Inspection)
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders (POs) and invoices for accuracy.
Ensure timely GRN (Goods Receipt Note) entry into the ERP system.
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies or damaged goods issues.
Maintain records of supplier deliveries and report delays or shortages.
4. Outward Process (Dispatch & Distribution)
Coordinate with sales, operations, and logistics to fulfill customer and internal orders on time.
Generate dispatch documents, delivery challans, and invoices.
Ensure correct picking, packing, and dispatch of goods as per customer requirements.
Track and record all outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with delivery schedules.
5. Process Optimization & Compliance
Improve inventory control processes to reduce stock discrepancies and wastage.
Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose corrective actions.
Maintain records for audit compliance and stock reconciliation.
Work closely with other departments to streamline the inward and outward workflow.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in inventory/stores management, warehouse operations, or logistics.
Proficiency in ERP software (SAP, ERPNext, Oracle, Tally, or similar inventory systems).
Strong understanding of inventory control techniques, documentation, and reporting.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety, compliance, and warehouse best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing, retail, or logistics industry.
Familiarity with ISO, 5S, or warehouse safety standards.
Certification in Inventory Management or Supply Chain is a plus.
