**Job Description: Sales Officer - General Trade (GT), FMCG/Hygiene Industry, Chennai**
**Position: Sales Officer - General Trade (GT)Location: Chennai, India Industry**:
**FMCG/HygieneKey Responsibilities**:
- **Sales & Business Development**:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share in the assigned territory.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the general trade sector.
- Conduct regular market visits to check route coverage, competitor activity, and continuously search for new opportunities to increase sales in the territory.
- **Distributor Appointment & Management**:
- Identify, evaluate, and appoint new distributors to enhance market penetration.
- Ensure distributors are aligned with the company’s sales strategies and objectives.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to distributors to ensure optimal performance.
- **Customer Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, distributors, and wholesalers.
- Address and resolve customer queries and complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- **Sales Planning & Execution**:
- Plan and execute promotional activities and trade schemes to boost sales.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to understand market trends and consumer needs.
- Prepare sales forecasts and reports for management review.
- **Market Analysis**:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential markets, and competitor activities.
- Provide feedback and insights to the marketing and product development teams for product enhancements and new product development.
- **Team Management**:
- Supervise and guide junior sales staff and sales promoters.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the sales team.
**SKILLS**:
- **Experience**:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the FMCG or hygiene industry, with a focus on general trade.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Experience in identifying, evaluating, and appointing distributors.
- **Skills**:
- Strong understanding of the FMCG/hygiene market dynamics and distribution channels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
