The Hospital Floor Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a designated hospital floor or unit. This role ensures efficient patient care delivery, staff coordination, and effective communication among healthcare teams. The coordinator acts as a liaison between medical staff, patients, and families, facilitating a supportive and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities**:Operational Oversight**:
- **Staff Coordination**: Supervise and support nursing and support staff, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
- **Scheduling**: Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient allocation of resources.
- **Resource Management**: Ensure that necessary medical supplies, equipment, and resources are available and properly maintained.
**Patient Care Coordination**:
- **Patient Flow Management**: Oversee patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize bed utilization and patient care.
- **Care Planning**: Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring they are tailored to individual patient needs.
- **Quality Assurance**: Monitor the quality of patient care, implementing improvements and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
**Communication and Collaboration**:
- **Liaison Role**: Serve as a primary point of contact between patients, families, and healthcare providers, facilitating effective communication and resolving conflicts.
- **Inter-Departmental Coordination**: Coordinate with other hospital departments, such as laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy, to ensure seamless patient care.
- **Reporting and Documentation**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care activities, staff performance, and departmental issues.
**Clinical Support**:
- **Assistance with Procedures**: Provide support during medical procedures and treatments, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- **Staff Training and Development**: Assist in the orientation and training of new staff, promoting continuous education and professional development.
- **Emergency Response**: Participate in emergency response activities, including code blue and other critical incidents, ensuring timely and effective responses.
**Administrative Duties**:
- **Policy Implementation**: Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations, promoting a safe and compliant care environment.
- **Budget Management**: Assist in managing departmental budgets, monitoring expenditures, and optimizing resource utilization.
- **Reporting**: Prepare and submit reports on floor activities, patient outcomes, and departmental performance to hospital management.

**Skills and Competencies**:
- **Leadership and Communication**: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- **Organizational Skills**: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
Work Environment:
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand, walk, and move about the hospital floor for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed.
- **Work Hours**: Typically, full-time with potential for shift work, weekends, and holidays, depending on hospital needs.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to: Nursing Manager or Director of Patient Services.
- Coordinates with: Nursing staff, physicians, support staff, and hospital administration.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
