**Job Purpose**:
**Background**:
ETS is a global business unit with a single organisational structure. We have recently established an India (Noida) based team to support the global operation. This role will be based in Noida alongside of other support functions.

**Role**:
This role is responsible for the Australian ETS financial accounting as well as consolidation of all ETS business unit costs globally. You will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial journals and internal financial reporting and audit requirements.

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, and compliance. The Financial Controller will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, as well as provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management. The Financial Controller will also lead and mentor the finance team and implement best practices and policies to improve financial performance and efficiency.

We are centralising the financial accounting activities. This role will take-on the currently Australian-based financial accounting and work with the offshore team to assume that activity into the new India based team, working alongside a Noida based Senior Accountant. Following this, other region accounting will then be centralised to the India team.

During this time, you will prepare the team and engage with other country’s finance teams.

You will be working closely with the ETS General Manager Finance and Business Services, ETS Commercial Leader and business partners, Regional Finance Teams, and ETS Product leaders.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage ETS accounting operations.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, financial reporting and internal controls.
- Research technical accounting issues and provide guidance on accounting policies and procedures.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process and coordinate the auditing processes.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Develop and implement new processes and systems to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Supervise and mentor the finance staff and ensure their professional development.
- Prepare compliance requirements including Head Office Reporting Pack
- Ensure compliance with regulators, company policies and internal audit recommendations.
- Assistance with half-year and year-end external audit requirements
- Improve efficiency and scalability within the finance workflow and processes.
- Provide feedback to accountants in other countries to ensure consistency and reliability of consolidated financial information.
- Drive the centralization of ETS Financial processes from all other countries.
- Provide support to ETS operations to ensure user friendly payments processes (escalations).

***Experience**:

- 5+ years’ experience in accounting
- Experience in setting and managing financial control processes in a complex corporation with multiple business units.

Experience in transformation of business processes and working with offshore delivery teams.

***Business Skills**:

- High level of expertise in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail
- Strong financial control and technical accounting knowledge
- Able to identify areas for improvement in finance process flows with the goals of automation and centralisation.
