Develop new models and/or refine existing models of PPPs and engage with the private sector to mobilize investments.
- Support investment mobilization efforts by developing/refining/amending bidding frameworks/guidelines, procurement processes and bid documents based on international and domestic best practices post reviewing the risk-reward frameworks
- Providing analytical inputs to develop/refine private sector engagement strategies in the energy sector, particularly in areas such as renewables, energy storage, energy efficiency, power distribution, smart meters, electric vehicles, green hydrogen etc.
- Conduct stakeholder discussions including road shows and investor meets to seek feedback on PPP models.
- Collaborate with utilities/regulators/central/state entities to develop understanding of the requirements and accordingly facilitate in mobilizing investments.
- Conduct pre-feasibility studies for future private sector investment opportunities.
- Support awareness building, technical support, and investment promotion activities that facilitate the private sector’s entry into the energy sector.
- Maintain a database of private sector firms and investor guidebooks and pitchbooks.
- Prepare and author reports, research papers, articles documenting evidence and experience from pilots and other studies.
- Conduct trainings and capacity development workshops for utilities, regulators, etc.
- Develop case studies and lessons learned for sharing across the region
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field and 3 years of relevant experience; or bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience.
- Experience of working on public private sector partnerships and private sector investment.
- Experience in facilitating and negotiating public private partnerships across a variety of sectors, prior experience within the power sector is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated network among leading technology players, private developers and investors.
- Prior experience working on a donor-funded projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
- Strong oral/written communication skills and ability to communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all clients, peers, and stakeholders.
- Experience in South Asia region is a plus.
- Motivated and able to work under challenging and fast paced environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload, self-manage and complete tasks to best meet project needs.
- English language proficiency
