Guest Service Officer

Job Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To ensure that crockery, cutlery, glassware and hollowware is maintained in the highest standards of the hotel. 2. To ensure that the kitchen pots, pans and implements reflect an optimum level of cleanliness. 3. To make certain that the storage area is maintained well, clean and hygienic at all times. 4. To see that the correct procedures of disposing, handling, cleaning etc. are followed by all stewarding staff. 5. To ensure that floors, walls, pipes, corners are kept spotlessly clean. 6. To ensure that the job carried out in the Banqueting area follows the instructions given. 7. To ensure that the garbage is collected regularly and does not pile up at any place. 8. To ensures that the garbage containers are kept spotlessly clean. 9. To ensure that garbage room is kept clean at all times. 10. To ensure that the garbage is inspected for cutlery etc. before transferring to BMC vans. 11. To be punctual, regular and well groomed. 12. To read the log book and note special instructions. 13. To follow up on pending jobs. 14. To check and adjust staff position as required. Arrange daily labour/ casuals if necessary. 15. To ensure that following areas are clean at all times : kitchen, pantry, specified back of house area, service lift, steward stores, main dish wash area, steward counter and office. 16. To ensure that there is a proper work flow in all areas. 17. To ensure that the Kitchen pots are cleaned, dried and stored right.
18. To ensure that during work breaks, proper relievers are arranged. 19. To ensure all machines work well and are kept spotlessly clean. 20. To make sure that water temperatures where necessary is checked. 21. To ensure that all work stations are manned. 22. To ensure that adequate supply of cleaning material and fuel is available for use. 23. To inspect the upkeep of godown and stores. 24. To ensure that safety measures are followed at all times. 25. To handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by upper management. 26. To adhere to personal grooming as per standards laid down by the hotel and always be clean shaven. 27. To ensure that uniform is clean and well ironed. 28. To perform such duties and observe and conform to such directions and instructions as may be assigned or communicated to you by the company or by such officers who are placed in authority over you.
