**About us**

Lighthouse Communities Foundation works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth. This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods, and a vision of socio-economic transformation. The Lighthouses are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the Government, Corporates, NGOs, and Citizens to work together towards changing lives. The provision of location and capital expenditure for the Lighthouse centers is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to the youth. With penetration in more than 400 of the 500-odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities, viz. PCMC, Dombivali, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nagpur and also States/UTs viz. Delhi, Odisha, and Hyderabad.

**About the Program**:
The Social and Emotional Learning program for adolescents focuses on challenges faced by them as they are learning to handle new demands in their academic and social life while dealing with new, intense emotions (both positive and negative). Lighthouse Kiran aims to create an environment in which individuals feel secure, have a sense of well-being and are empowered to drive their own learning. Educational attainment will help them develop their core competencies, build agency, decrease drop out rate and increase their focus on livelihood.

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Program Implementation**:

- Work closely with the Program Lead on the program's larger vision and mission, its planning and execution.
- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Lighthouse Kiran Program in Odisha.
- Monitor and evaluate program activities to ensure objectives are met efficiently.
- Contribute to enhancing the program framework in light of the feedback received from the field.
- Lighthouse Kiran session facilitation as and when necessary.
- Impact evaluation of the program.
- Donor compliances and reporting.

**Team Management**
- Manage a team of Facilitator & Mobiliser in Odisha and ensure yearly plan delivery.
- Ensure regular team meetings for cross sharing and resolving issues of concern.
- Ensure that all team members are able to contribute effectively and also get fair opportunities to represent the organization.

**Community Engagement**:

- Work closely with the outreach team to engage with communities and identify potential participants.
- Facilitate awareness campaigns and promotional events to mobilize the beneficiaries.

**Collaborations**:

- Assisting in partnerships with organizations.
- Foster collaborations to enhance the impact and reach of the program.

**Performance Metrics**:

- Regularly track and report on program performance against established targets

**Event Management**:

- Executing events related to the Lighthouse Kiran Program, including workshops, seminars, refresher batches and community engagement programs.
- Organize planning meetings, workshops, conferences, and project visits for internal or external groups, as required.
- Undertake any other tasks, as may be assigned by the line manager.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s or Masters degree preferably in the relevant field - Social sciences/ Development studies/Gender/Social Work degree in any field.
- Proven experience of at least 3 to 4 years in program coordination, community engagement, or related roles.
- Strong and proven records of planning, supervising, program development and program monitoring.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including teachers, parents, administrators, and community members
- Good knowledge and understanding of education issues, including life skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Have a strong work ethic and require mínimal direction.
- Work well independently as well as part of a team.
- Ready for travel across the city, outskirts of the city and other locations in Odisha.
