**Where you fit**

Our Strategy, Portfolio & Sustainability (SX) organisation supports Shell plc’s Executive Committee and business in their strategic choices. They work with some of our most senior people to establish business value and future direction. They seek to provide credible and actionable insights, enabling strategy development and critical decisions for the senior leaders in Shell, leveraging both internal and external perspectives.

In this role, you will be part of the Renewables & Energy Solutions (RES) Strategy Consultancy Bangalore Team which is engaged in projects that involve market landscaping and competitive assessment of Shell’s RES businesses vs. other companies and undertakes deep dives on markets, industry, and countries with a focus on the ‘so what’ recommendations for Shell.

**What’s the role?**

As Strategy Consultancy Advisor - Renewables, you will be delivering projects and products that supports Shell’s senior leadership to drive business decisions in line with the overall RDS strategy. You will be responsible for delivering ad-hoc deep dives on markets, industry and countries with a keen focus on the implications for Shell. These projects and products deliver sound, accurate, timely and fit-for-purpose insights that support strategic and commercial decision making.

Further accountabilities are as follows:

- Hands-on delivery of a cross section of complex projects. Maintains familiarity about studies in their domain and actively contributes by providing inputs/information
- Bring good understanding and own perspectives of business environment and value chains in one or more areas of Power/Renewables/Mobility
- Lead end to end delivery of assigned work streams in a large/complex project or delivers medium size/complexity studies independently. Is involved in end-to-end delivery of assigned components of project - gets clarity on scope, plans own work, conducts own analysis, manages client interface, and reports out the analysis details and the key so-what’s/recommendations in a structured way
- Deliver required work streams or project components through own hands-on data gathering and analysis, and is able to synthesize these into high quality so-whats and recommendations
- Proactively co-ordinate with members in own and other strategy teams to obtain the required inputs, and also disseminates data / knowledge from own area of work to these teams
- Manage the relationship with clients at working level by building good credibility
- Build own network in Shell, and with external service providers, to identify synergies, obtain/validate required data and viewpoints, and socialize findings to all relevant audience.
- Competitive landscaping (regulatory, demand/supply, etc.) and opportunity identification projects for renewables
- Business opportunity assessment new energy businesses
- Bring Competitive intelligence for integrated power strategy
- Integrated strategy review for specific geographies
- Deep dives on technology topics such as connected customers, e-mobility, charging infrastructure, etc.
- Financial modelling and business case creation support for new business models
- Build client relationship in a virtual set-up, working across multiple geographies and time zones
- Successfully managing multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously

**What We Need from You**
- Must have Commercial/Technical degree or equivalent; MBA would be an advantage
- Must have 4 to 12 years of professional experience in Energy related industries with exposure in any of the following
- Finance, Project Delivery, Sales/Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, etc.
- Direct experience in power, LNG, renewables or mobility businesses will be preferred.
- Project delivery skills involving planning own work, delivering hands-on and coordinating with a wide set of teams
- Awareness on key trends and geopolitics in the Energy or Mobility space
- Market research, consulting, financial analysis
- Ability to gather and analyze complex data resulting in synthesis and insights
- Direct exposure to Energy or Mobility business, wider affinity with energy policies/regulatory aspects and working knowledge of financial statements would be a plu
- High motivation levels and sense of accountability to deliver assigned components of work without close day to day supervision. Flexibility to take feedback and guidance from senior team members and stakeholders
