**WHO YOU ARE**

With **5+ years of pastry kitchen experience** in high-volume, bulk production and at least **2 years in a managerial role**, you’ve mastered the art of balancing creativity with operational efficiency. You’re hands-on with quality assurance, inventory management, and cost control, but what sets you apart is your ability to inspire your team to deliver their best every day.
You have a qualification in culinary arts, pastry-making, or baking, combined with a sharp mind for numbers and processes. You thrive in fast-paced environments, have an eye for detail, and are comfortable with digital tools for documentation and inventory. **YOUR TEAM**
You’ll work alongside **Chef Girish**, leading the kitchen staff and collaborating with the Quality, R&D, and Purchase teams. Together, you’ll ensure the smooth and efficient production of mithai and chocolates while upholding the highest standards of quality and creativity.
**WHO YOU WILL REPORT TO**
You’ll report directly to the **Leadership Team**, working closely with them to shape the future of Bombay Sweet Shop while maintaining Hunger Inc.’s values and culture.
**YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**
- **Kitchen Leadership**: Lead and mentor the kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
- **Product Development**: Collaborate with the R&D team to create scalable products while maintaining quality and consistency.
- **Production Management**: Oversee daily kitchen operations, from ingredient prep to final production, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- **Quality Assurance**: Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain consistent product standards.
- **Safety & Sanitation**: Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols, conducting regular training sessions for the team.
- **Inventory Control**: Work with the Purchase Manager to manage raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products, minimizing waste and spoilage.
- **Cost Optimization**: Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Drive a culture of innovation and learning, optimizing processes and encouraging feedback from the team.
- **Documentation**: Digitally track production numbers, food costs, wastage, and inventory to ensure transparency and efficiency.
**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
You bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role, including:
- **5+ years** in a high-volume pastry kitchen and **2+ years** in a managerial position within the food industry.
- A qualification in **culinary arts, pastry-making, or baking** from a recognized culinary school.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
