About the Role:

As the Merchandising Lead for Cult Retail Stores, you will be responsible for driving the merchandising strategy for key categories: Sports Apparel, Running/Training Footwear, and Fitness Equipment. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and solidifying Cult's position as a leading sports retail brand in India.

Key Responsibilities:

-Merchandising Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive merchandising strategies for assigned categories, aligning with the overall business objectives and brand positioning.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and optimize product assortments.
  • Collaborate with buying teams to ensure the right product mix, pricing, and promotions to maximize sales and profitability.

-Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels closely to optimize stock turnover and minimize markdowns.
  • Analyze sales data and forecast demand to optimize inventory allocation and replenishment.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery and efficient inventory management.

-Store Operations:

  • Support store operations by providing merchandising expertise and training to store teams.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising execution and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with store managers to address any merchandising-related issues or challenges.

-Performance Analysis:

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, margin, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on merchandising performance and present findings to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, fashion merchandising, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the sports retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of the sports retail landscape, including product trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in retail software and systems.
  • Passion for sports and fitness.
