Job Title: Senior Manager - Payroll and Compliance
Location: HSR Layout, Bangalore
Work Mode: 6 days WFO
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager - Payroll and Compliance to oversee and streamline payroll operations while ensuring compliance with statutory and organizational requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing payroll processes, compliance adherence, and employee benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
- Manage payroll-related queries and address discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
80G Declarations and Management:
- Oversee employee declarations under Section 80G for tax exemption purposes.
- Verify documentation and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
Salary Advance and Imprest Requests:
- Review and approve salary advance and imprest requests in line with company policies.
- Monitor repayments and maintain accurate records of advances.
Gold Scheme Administration:
- Administer the company’s gold scheme, including employee eligibility and contributions.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with the scheme’s guidelines.
Bonus and Incentive Calculation:
- Manage and track bonus and incentive plans.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate payouts.
Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations such as EPF, ESI, and other labor laws.
- Manage EPF contributions for non-employees as per legal requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll-related regulations and update policies accordingly.
Audits and Reporting:
- Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and present payroll reports for management review.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the payroll team to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide training on compliance and payroll processes as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in payroll and compliance management.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and tools.
- Familiarity with statutory regulations and compliance standards in payroll management.
- Startup exposure and experience handling a headcount of 100-150 employees.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
