Job Description:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, maintaining records, and optimizing vendor relationships. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong organizational skills who thrives in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Processing Bills: Ensures the timely and accurate processing of vendor payments in compliance with company policies.
- Reconciling Reports: Manages monthly payable reports and cash account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Record Maintenance: Maintains thorough records of financial transactions and communications, including tracking credits owed to the company.
- Producing Purchase Orders: Generates and oversees purchase orders as needed, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Account Analysis: Prepares account analyses and produces monthly financial reports for review.
- Vendor Communication: Handles vendor inquiries professionally and provides prompt resolutions to financial queries.
- Invoice Verification: Verifies invoice details, clarifies questionable items, and ensures proper authorization and signatures.
- Data Verification: Validates financial data to maintain the accuracy and reliability of records.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3 - 5 years of professional finance experience.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for seamless interactions with vendors and internal teams.
- Proficiency in English and advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Prior experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
