School Ed-Tech:

LEAD is the leading school ed-tech company in the country. While most consumer

ed-tech has been focused on supplemental education, outside the formal school

system, LEAD is transforming in-school learning. There are approximately 270 million

school going students in the country, each spending 6+ hours everyday at school. The

opportunity to impact core education and student learning outcomes here is much

larger and deeper. Within this, LEAD is focused on the affordable private school

segment, where quality of teachers and curriculum is severely lacking.

Lead School has raised a total of US$166 Million in funding through five rounds. Key

investors include Elevar Equity, Westbridge Capital, and GSV Ventures. In Jan 2022,

LEAD raised $100 M (Series E) led by Westbridge Capital and GSV Ventures.

Purpose of the Job

The Zonal Strategy & Operations Manager will work closely with the respective Zonal

Leader of the Growth Team with an aim to drive new schools and channel partner

acquisitions. The Zonal strategy role will bring to the table a strong understanding of our

customers via his/her on ground connect with field teams & customers and help feed that

to Central strategy teams, to devise zone specific programs where need be. He/she will

also be the SPOC for the Zone as far as driving monthly business priorities are concerned

within their respective zones.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop annual business plans in partnership with Zonal Heads & Central Strategy

teams, to deliver on the business goals for the respective zone

Work cross functionally with Zonal Operations team & Central Strategy teams to drive

business priorities as per annual calendar in respective market

● Be the point person for the Zonal heads ensure teams are in absolute sync with

respect to what & how of business priorities

● Deployment of monthly priorities to field teams and ensuring execution on ground

through regular follow ups, school visits

● Meet the customers and bring key insights to the table to devise any zone specific

programs required to deliver on business objectives

● Competition analysis & update: Keep eyes and ears close to the ground & bring any/all

competitive insights to the attention of key stakeholders

● Lead all zonal reviews (Prepare, analyze and present )

● Key Stakeholders: Zonal Heads, Central Strategy Teams

Travel: Yes, within the Zone

Essential Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

● BE/ MBA from Tier 1/2 institute.

● 2-3 years relevant working experience in Customer Strategy & Planning, Channel

Marketing in the B2B industries. (This is not a Marketing role)

● Experience in relevant field sales or trade marketing (spaceman) experience.

Desirable Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

● Demonstrated knowledge of industry (education is desirable), local market & B2B

business operations.

● Strong influencing skills for both peers and stakeholders to represent CBD needs.

● Analytical skills & ability to analyze multiple data points to take business decision

● High on ownership, strong problem solving ability and bias for action
