About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and target-oriented Senior Business Development Executive / Senior Lead Generation Executive to join our growing sales team. The role focuses on outbound prospecting, lead generation through cold calling, and outreach to clients across industries , identifying business opportunities to drive revenue growth. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will also mentor and lead a small sales team , contributing to their professional development and enhancing overall team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Research
- Generate leads using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry databases, and other tools .
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers and key decision-makers .
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
Initial Outreach and Lead Generation
- Execute targeted outreach through personalized emails, phone calls, and social media messages .
- Apply a multi-channel engagement approach to interact with prospects effectively.
- Ensure lead follow-ups and nurture relationships with potential clients .
Lead Nurturing and Qualification
- Use frameworks such as BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to qualify leads.
- Conduct discovery calls to assess client requirements and evaluate fit.
- Move leads through the funnel until they are ready for a sales conversation .
Appointment Setting
- Schedule discovery meetings or product demos with the sales team.
- Ensure smooth handover of qualified leads to the appropriate sales personnel.
New Business Development
- Collaborate with the sales team to explore new markets and increase revenue opportunities.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and industry players .
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Lead, manage, and mentor a small team of outbound sales professionals.
- Set performance targets and monitor progress toward achieving sales goals.
- Provide training and feedback to enhance the team’s skills and productivity.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in B2B sales, with expertise in lead generation through cold calls, emails, and outreach .
- Industry experience in manufacturing, Information Technology & Services, or EdTech preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Sales and Marketing (BBA / B.Com), or a related field (preferred).
- Proven ability in business development and generating new lead generation streams .
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills .
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools .
- Goal-oriented, resilient, and persistent in achieving targets.
