Vice President – Operations
blu Cognition is an AI/ML based start-up specializing in developing data products leveraging alternative data sources and providing servicing support to our clients in financial services sector. Founded in 2017, by some very named senior professionals from the financial services industry, the company is headquartered in the US, with the delivery centre based in Pune. We build all our solutions while leveraging the latest technology stack in AI, ML and NLP combined with decades of experience in risk management at some of the largest financial services firms in the world.

Role:
You will be responsible for managing and strategizing the payment operations function for a major US based telecom client. You will lead a team of 100+ employees and will be responsible for building and managing the team across multiple processes.
Responsibilities:
 Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 100+ professionals handling payments processes ( Disputes, Refunds, Chargeback etc) migrated from US to India fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
 Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring their expectations are met
 End to end functional ownership. This requires understanding and ensuring delivery as per defined SLA’s.
 You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous optimization and automation of the processes to drive efficiency
 Recruit and manage the entire team of 50-100 resources across these processes
Qualification:
 Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in operations management, with a focus on back-office functions, preferably with a telecom service provider
 Experience in payment operations and knowledge of the chargeback function is highly desirable.
 Proven experience in managing teams of 100+ employees, preferably for an offshore client
 Strong understanding of telecom operations, particularly in a US-based context
 Demonstrated success in leading process migrations and managing global operations setups.
 Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
