Job Profile: Business Development Manager – Corporate Training (Enterprise Segment, Bangalore)
Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will focus on driving growth in the enterprise segment by promoting and selling corporate training solutions. Based in Bangalore, the BDM will identify and secure new business opportunities, build lasting relationships with enterprise clients, and position the company as a leading provider of upskilling and corporate training programs. This role demands a results-driven professional with strong sales acumen and experience in the corporate training or related services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to acquire new enterprise clients for corporate training programs.
- Identify high-potential industries and companies to target for training solutions.
- Present customized training offerings, proposals, and solutions to decision-makers, including HR heads, L&D leaders, and senior management.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at enterprise organizations.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and recommending suitable training programs.
- Ensure client satisfaction by coordinating with internal teams for seamless delivery of training services.
Market Research & Strategy:
- Stay updated on trends in corporate training, skill development, and enterprise needs.
- Analyze market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Provide feedback to product and curriculum teams to align offerings with market demands.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing teams to design campaigns and events targeting enterprise clients.
- Partner with operations and delivery teams to ensure timely and high-quality execution of training programs.
- Collaborate with leadership to forecast revenue and set sales targets.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipelines, and client interactions using CRM tools.
- Prepare and present periodic sales performance reports to senior management.
- Analyze account performance and adjust strategies to achieve business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in corporate training, L&D, or related services.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in the enterprise segment.
- Strong understanding of corporate training and skill development trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Key Competencies:
- Strategic thinking with a client-centric approach.
- Strong problem-solving and consultative selling abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Location: Bangalore (headquarters), with travel as required to meet clients across India.
Reporting To: Regional Head – Corporate Training Sales
