We're hiring a Vendor Development Specialist to lead sourcing and supplier management for our Special Purpose Machine (SPM) manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in vendor evaluation, precision engineering, and procurement strategies. You'll work closely with Engineering, R&D, and Production teams to build a cost-effective, high-quality supplier base aligned with project timelines.
Source and onboard vendors for machined parts, hydraulics/pneumatics, sensors, controls, and custom fabrication
Collaborate with technical teams to align sourcing with product development needs
Negotiate terms, pricing, delivery, and quality agreements
Track vendor performance and manage corrective actions
Identify supply chain risks and drive optimization strategies
B.Tech in Mechanical, or Production Engineering
~3+years of experience in vendor development/procurement (preferably in automation, machinery, or precision manufacturing)
~ Strong understanding of engineering drawings, quality standards, and manufacturing processes
~ Skilled in supplier audits, ERP tools, and contract negotiations
~ Willingness to travel for audits and vendor visits
Previous experience working with reputed manufacturing companies in Bangalore or nearby industrial hubs
