Job Summary

We're hiring a Vendor Development Specialist to lead sourcing and supplier management for our Special Purpose Machine (SPM) manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in vendor evaluation, precision engineering, and procurement strategies. You'll work closely with Engineering, R&D, and Production teams to build a cost-effective, high-quality supplier base aligned with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and onboard vendors for machined parts, hydraulics/pneumatics, sensors, controls, and custom fabrication
  • Conduct vendor evaluations, technical capability assessments, audits, and site visits
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align sourcing with product development needs
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, delivery, and quality agreements
  • Track vendor performance and manage corrective actions
  • Identify supply chain risks and drive optimization strategies
  • Maintain vendor records, contracts, and compliance documentation

Requirements

  • B.Tech in Mechanical, or Production Engineering
  • 3+years of experience in vendor development/procurement (preferably in automation, machinery, or precision manufacturing)
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, quality standards, and manufacturing processes
  • Skilled in supplier audits, ERP tools, and contract negotiations
  • Willingness to travel for audits and vendor visits

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with reputed manufacturing companies in Bangalore or nearby industrial hubs
