Job Opportunity:
The Director of the School of Law is a visionary leader responsible for driving academic, administrative, and strategic goals. Ensuring quality legal education, fostering research excellence, building industry connections, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration are key objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the School's strategic vision aligned with the university's mission.
- Drive initiatives to enhance national and international reputation in legal education and research.
- Promote an inclusive, dynamic, and forward-thinking academic environment.
Achieving Academic Excellence:
- Oversee curriculum design, development, and periodic review to ensure relevance and rigor.
- Foster innovative learning environments leveraging technology and pedagogy.
- Promote a culture of academic excellence through faculty development and student engagement.
Leading Research and Development:
- Encourage and support faculty in undertaking impactful legal research.
- Build partnerships with industry, government, and international institutions for research collaboration.
- Secure grants and funding to sustain and expand research activities.
Effective Administration and Operations:
- Supervise day-to-day operations ensuring efficient management of resources and adherence to academic policies.
- Lead recruitment, mentoring, and evaluation of faculty and administrative staff.
- Prepare and manage the School's operational plans in alignment with institutional priorities.
Industry and Community Engagement:
- Establish strong ties with legal professionals, law firms, and judiciary to enhance industry relevance.
- Foster internships, placements, and career development opportunities for students.
- Organize seminars, workshops, and moot court competitions to build the School's profile.
Student Success and Welfare:
- Promote student-centric policies and foster an engaging academic and extracurricular environment.
- Ensure support systems are in place for academic advising, mentoring, and career counselling.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Bar Council of India standards.
- Represent the School in university committees, external forums, and accreditation processes.
Key Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Visionary thinking with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Deep understanding of the legal education landscape and regulatory frameworks.
Qualification: Ph.D Degree in Law from reputed and recognized University in India or Abroad.
Experience: A minimum of 15 years of academic or professional experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles such as Director.
