Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead our Regional Sales team in IDFC First. This is a challenging opportunity for a talented sales professional to drive growth and expansion across the region.



Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is ₹15,00,000 - ₹25,00,000 (inclusive of bonus). Please note that the actual compensation may vary based on factors like location, experience, and performance.



About the Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager at Tata AIA Life Insurance, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth across your designated cluster(s). You will work closely with our regional officers and zonal officers to ensure alignment towards our life insurance business objectives.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional targets and exceed them.
  • Collaborate with Bank's Regional Officers and Zonal Officers to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Visit zones and regions regularly to interact with Zonal Officers, Cluster Officers, and Bank branch managers.
  • Guide and support your team to ensure they meet their sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including supervisors, team members, operations, underwriting, and legal departments.
  • Foster partnerships with external stakeholders, including IDFC First bank – Channel Partner.
  • Partner with customers to explain products and promote the brand, ensuring adequate customer service, grievance redressal, claim settlement, and renewal.
  • Manage risks associated with the function by developing a risk-aware culture, participating in risk measurement, analysis, and mitigation, and reporting emerging risks.
  • Ensure compliance at the zone level and maintain a strong relationship with Regional Officer and Bank Branch manager.
  • Assign targets to each KAM at a branch level and monitor their progress.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Keep track of local contests and initiatives launched by the bank, other insurers, and Tata AIA Life Insurance.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong product knowledge and good understanding of MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, creative thinking, and supervisory skills.
  • Able to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and expansion.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
