Proposal Manager Job Description

Dear Candidate,

We are hiring a Proposal Manager for our Government Contract Management team in Pune.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing multiple government proposals, including Bids, RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, and Tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare proposals for assigned Bids, RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, ensuring all requirements are met and our value proposition is clearly demonstrated.
  • Conduct kick-off and follow-up calls to track the proposal's status from initiation to completion.
  • Work closely with the legal team to review terms and conditions, flagging any exceptions.
  • Collaborate with the Pricing Manager to finalize pricing for inclusion in proposals.
  • Review and update proposals based on feedback from onsite stakeholders.
  • Create and update reusable artifacts to reduce turnaround time.

Document Management:

  • Gather necessary documents, including legal and critical reviews.
  • Track progression in to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manage data of documents for future reference.

Support and Reporting:

  • Provide ongoing support for processing proposals.
  • Report on progress, additional requirements, and completion to relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with various internal teams, such as Pricing, Legal, Sales/Account Management, HR, and Branches, to ensure smooth processing.

Requirements:

  • 1-7 years of experience in proposal preparation with a basic understanding of government contract processes.
  • Prior experience working with US teams/customers is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any stream.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple proposals independently.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in various online web applications.
  • Critical thinking, quantitative analytical ability, and exceptional problem-solving skills.
