Software Engineer Role

As a software engineer, you will play a crucial part in designing and developing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality software components independently and collaboratively with other team members.
  • Create technical design documents to ensure clarity and precision in our development processes.
  • Contribute to software builds through consistent application of development best practices.
  • Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions for marketing data applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and automated testing to ensure the quality and reliability of our software.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Apply analytical thinking to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain ongoing application availability by providing continuous support and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and innovations, and apply this knowledge to drive progress and excellence in our team's work.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in software design and development.
  • Expertise in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • Working knowledge of data storage solutions like Big Query or Cloud SQL, as well as data engineering tools like AirFlow or Cloud Workflows.
  • Experience with other GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, or Data Catalog.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies or other rapid application development methods.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages, such as Java or Python.
  • Hands-on expertise with software development in big data environments, including Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, HIVE, and related technologies.
  • Experience with CICD pipelines, automated test frameworks, DevOps, and source code management tools like Git, Maven, Jira, Confluence, and Splunk.
  • Knowledge of various shell scripting tools and Ansible is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, including effective presentation skills.
