Key Roles and Responsibilities

This strategic leadership position involves overseeing retail lending collection operations across a designated zone. The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in large-scale collections, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic execution to deliver exceptional recovery performance.

The selected leader will define and execute zone-level collection strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on risk mitigation, portfolio health, and sustainable recovery. Additionally, they will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Area Collection Managers and Executives to consistently exceed targets; drive accountability through structured reviews and performance dashboards.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading zone-level collection strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Mentoring and inspiring a high-performing team of Area Collection Managers and Executives
  • Driving accountability through regular reviews and performance metrics
  • Collaborating with senior leadership, legal, risk, and compliance teams
  • Ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and audit requirements

Requirements for Success

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  • At least 8-12 years of progressive experience in retail lending collections or credit risk management
  • A strong command of data analytics, MIS tools, and field collection strategies
  • Exceptional people leadership, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with fluency in English and proficiency in regional languages an asset
