Job Title: District Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our team in delivering high-quality services to youth in the district. As a District Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing resources, staff, and local partners to ensure the full offer of our Livelihood program is available to youth.

  • Manage budgets and centres to ensure the full offer of the Livelihood program is available to youth.
  • Lead a staff team delivering the Livelihood program at the district level and manage all aspects of their performance.
  • Achieve targets at each stage of intervention including mobilisation, needs assessment, skills training delivery, and placement in work or education.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting frontline staff to complete comprehensive needs assessments with youth to identify their strengths and limitations, training and life skills needs, and overall targets for the program.
  2. Formulating personal development plans for each youth that sets out their training schedule and work or education targets.
  3. Providing high-quality career counselling and impartial information, advice, and guidance that empowers youth to make positive choices about potential careers.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of MIS and computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage people and time.
  • Strong people and communication skills.
  • Able to follow processes correctly and use specific tools and methods of working consistently.
  • Excellent team worker with strong oral and written communication skills, including good level of professional English.

Pre-requisites include:

  • Graduation in any stream.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the skill development sector, with 2 years at a leadership role.
