Job Opportunity: Senior Database Developer

We are seeking an experienced senior database developer to play a key role in the design, development, and administration of databases in high-availability environments.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in database design, performance optimization, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Modeling & Design:

  • Create scalable database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to translate data requirements into efficient database designs.
  • Develop ER diagrams for data modeling purposes.

Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques.
  • Monitor database performance metrics and proactively resolve issues.

Database Administration:

  • Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery plans for MySQL and MS SQL.
  • Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
  • Handle patching, upgrades, and migrations.

Data Integration & ETL:

  • Develop and maintain ETL processes for system-to-system data integration.
  • Implement data warehousing solutions for reporting and analytics.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience: 6–7 years of experience as a Database Developer.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expert-level SQL programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL).
  • Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Experience with performance tuning and large-scale database optimization.
  • Proficiency in administration tasks (backup, recovery, security, replication).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration.
  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
