Job Title: Database Specialist

Location: Madurai, India

Duration:

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a Full-Time Employee (FTE) capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain Oracle server software and related products.
  • Manage the application and database lifecycle.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application-related products like oacore, oafm apache etc.
  • Bounce apache, oacore, oafm as needed.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery policies and procedures.
  • Design and implement databases.
  • Maintain database security by creating and managing users and roles, assigning privileges.
  • Collaborate with teams to provide 24x7 support.
  • Perform general technical troubleshooting and consult with development teams.
  • Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
  • Optimize database performance and monitor query response time.
  • Work with development teams to migrate code.
  • Handle tickets raised by functional/technical/business users.
  • Address alerts raised by alert monitoring systems from databases and applications.
  • Analyze patches and apply them using adop online patch cycle as per schedule.
  • Clone databases as per schedules.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular backups and maintenance activities.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Work with Oracle Support to raise Service Requests on various issues.
  • Monitor standby databases and resolve associated issues.
  • Carry out routine database maintenance tasks like tablespace management, datapump, purging logfiles etc.
