Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marine Purchasing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring high-quality products from suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing, and building strong relationships with vendors and service providers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Management: Source and procure spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
  • Order Processing & Coordination: Process purchase requisitions efficiently, track orders, and coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to arrange delivery of goods to vessels worldwide.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Support monitoring and control of procurement budgets, identify opportunities for cost savings, and review supplier invoices for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with company policies, maritime regulations, and classification society requirements, maintaining accurate records of purchases and vendor agreements.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations and classification society requirements.
  • Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software.
  • Experience in international logistics and customs clearance for marine spares.
  • Solid understanding of vessel maintenance and dry-docking requirements.
