Join sinclus as a Sr. Structural Engineer with expertise in marine and port infrastructure projects, contributing to the development of Kerala's maritime infrastructure.

The Role

  • Lead structural engineering for port projects, including design, analysis, and execution of key components such as breakwaters, jetties, quays, docks, and seawalls.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for project management consultancy (PMC), ensuring adherence to quality standards, budget constraints, and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, government agencies, and engineers to integrate structural designs into the overall project.
  • Oversee risk mitigation strategies and safety measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
  • Supervise construction activities on-site, providing technical guidance and resolving issues to ensure high-quality standards for structural integrity and sustainability.
  • Implement advanced structural engineering principles to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, resilience, and environmental sustainability.
  • Prepare progress reports, design reviews, and technical documentation for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Your Expertise

  • We are looking for candidates with 10+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on marine and port infrastructure, and significant PMC experience.
  • Candidates should hold a Post Graduate degree in Structural Engineering, specializing in marine structures or coastal engineering.
  • Experience in project management of large-scale port projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing multidisciplinary teams is essential.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, and other tools for design and analysis is required.
  • A strong understanding of marine structures, including their response to wave forces, tide variations, sediment movement, and marine environmental conditions is necessary.
  • Candidates should be able to lead and manage teams, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Expertise in contract management, procurement, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and environmental standards is also required.
  • Excellent communication skills to present design concepts and project progress to stakeholders and clients are necessary.
