The Director of Sports will be responsible for leading the planning and development of sports programs, physical education initiatives, and wellness across the institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strategic vision for the sports department and implement policies to achieve it.
  • Manage sports infrastructure, facilities, and grounds to ensure proper maintenance and optimal utilization.
  • Identify, recruit, and mentor talented athletes to represent the institution at various levels.
  • Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and faculty to promote a culture of fitness and sportsmanship.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of sports coaches and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote ethical sports practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Ph.D. in Physical Education or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of modern training methods and sports technology.
  • Record of having represented the university/college at inter-university / inter-collegiate competitions or the State and/or National championships.
