Technical Support Specialist

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks. Your primary goal is to troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating System Deployment: Install and configure operating systems across devices, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Assemble, upgrade, and troubleshoot computer hardware, including servers, workstations, and peripherals.
  • Software Configuration: Install, configure, backup, and troubleshoot standard applications, including Microsoft Outlook, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Network Optimization: Install and troubleshoot network printers, configure VPN and firewall settings, and optimize network connectivity.
  • Security Measures: Implement BitLocker encryption, manage antivirus updates, and maintain virus protection protocols to safeguard against security threats.
  • Directory Management: Create user accounts, reset passwords, update group policies, and control access to sensitive resources.
  • Remote Assistance: Provide remote assistance for software and system-related issues, leveraging tools and technologies to minimize downtime.
  • Asset Tracking: Coordinate with vendors for hardware issues and maintain accurate inventory records for hardware and software assets.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in technical support, help desk, or IT operations.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, hardware, and software platforms.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
