About the GIS Developer Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining geospatial systems utilizing ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, Enterprise Geodatabase, Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing connectors to customer interfaces
  • Communicating and understanding technical requirements, developing architecture for implementations
  • Analyzing, reviewing and modifying programming systems including encoding, testing and debugging
  • Ensuring software integration into customers' systems
  • Coordinating software integration and maintaining technical documentation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, Enterprise Geodatabase, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Python and high-performance UI applications capable of visualizing large data sets
  • Experience with front-end technologies e.g. React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS languages and frameworks
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud desirable
  • Proven experience developing dynamic front-end web applications
  • Clean code writing with well-defined abstractions reducing complexity
  • Passionate about implementing responsive and user-friendly interfaces
  • Knowledge and utilization of REST API and other web services for integrating
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.) and strong SQL skills
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration
  • Experience in Azure Repo with knowledge of git and Azure Containers
  • Masters degree or related bachelor's degree with some relevant experience in GIS, Geographic Science, Computer Science or Survey Engineering
