Green Mobility Project Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Green Mobility Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing and supporting strategies for cities to mitigate the adverse effects of urbanization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and operationalize Low Emission Zone (LEZ) frameworks tailored for Mathura city.
  • Conduct baseline assessments of vehicular and industrial emissions in Mathura.
  • Identify vehicle categories, emission thresholds, and compliance strategies for LEZ implementation.
  • Propose monitoring mechanisms using Vahan data, ANPR, and on-ground enforcement.
  • Assess and recommend sustainable mobility solutions: EV adoption pathways, public transport electrification, NMT integration, and multimodal connectivity.
  • Support roadmap preparation for EV integration across municipal transport operations.
  • Propose policies for encouraging clean fuels, scrappage of end-of-life vehicles, and charging infrastructure development.
  • Collaborate with local businesses, citizen groups, and transport operators for smooth LEZ implementation.

Tactical Urbanism, Streetscaping, Capacity Building, and Community Engagement:

  • Design Analysis and Project Development: Understand site-specific urban challenges and create viable design strategies.
  • Tactical Urbanism: Collaborate to implement temporary design changes to test improvements and gather feedback.
  • Training and Development: Conduct internal and external workshops to raise awareness and build capacity on street design principles.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular progress reports summarizing program activities and achievements.
  • Creative Development: Create visual aids for training programs and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in environmental science, urban planning, or design, and/or allied disciplines.
  2. Proven experience working on urban spatial and/or environmental issues, preferably in air pollution control, EV policy integration, and urban design.
  3. Excellent research, data analysis, and communication skills.
  4. Ability to work independently in a remote location and as part of a team.
