Job Title: Subtitling Coordination Team Manager

This is a leadership role that oversees the Subtitling Coordination team, ensuring seamless project delivery and efficient resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct Localization Coordinators to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations for team members and ensure alignment with company vision.
  • Communicate regularly with the team, providing constructive feedback and addressing concerns proactively.
  • Collaborate with the Translator Support team to monitor linguist pool health and plan capacity for rare languages.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts promptly, facilitating open discussions and finding mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Focus on team morale, attrition, development, and coaching, providing regular performance feedback and development opportunities.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress and plan future activities.
  • Hold bi-weekly one-on-ones with all coordinators to discuss performance, provide feedback, and set goals.
  • Promote HR processes and policies within the team and support managers as needed on certain responsibilities.
  • Ensure process changes are clearly communicated to the team and adherence to Policies and Norms is maintained.
  • Serve as liaison between the team and Assistant Managers/Managers.
  • Maintain oversight of team projects, ensuring timely completion and participation in required training sessions.
  • Generate reports on team performance, track KPIs and SLAs, work with the Assistant Manager to address issues or negative trends, and maintain internal reports (e.g., Productivity, Quality, OTD).
  • Facilitate smooth handovers across shifts when necessary.
  • Coordinate scheduling and rescheduling of work for your language group in Subtitling Coordination, accounting for absenteeism.
  • Monitor email inboxes to guarantee timely responses to emails sent from community support and freelancers.
  • Evaluate user payments, ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner and there are none pending action by your Coordinators.
  • Support the Manager during the Assistant Manager's absence by absorbing tasks.
  • Pursue continuous improvement in coordination and communication quality within the team, suggesting ideas for improvement from a people and process perspective.
  • Show flexibility and assist as required in any area of need.
  • Mentor Subject Matter Experts to enhance their skills.
