Compliance Manager Job Description
  • Manage direct and indirect taxation (GST, income tax) in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee labor laws compliance, return filings, MCA filings, resolutions, assessments, and other statutory requirements.
  • E nsure timely statutory compliance and support audits, replies to notices, and attendance at hearings as necessary.
  • Provide tax planning, advisory, and risk management support to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with commercial tax departments and external consultants/auditors for tax audit, statutory audit, and other reviews.
  • Offer tax-related advisory services on business transactions, vendor/customer contracts, and new business models.
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual tax provisions and tax disclosures in financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Planning and Advisory: Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize risks and maximize benefits.
  • Labor Laws Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, including return filings and MCA filings.
  • Statutory Compliance: Manage timely compliance with statutory requirements, including audits, notices, and hearings.
  • Commercial Tax Management: Collaborate with commercial tax departments and external consultants/auditors for tax audit and review purposes.
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Prepare and review monthly and annual tax provisions and tax disclosures in financial statements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in taxation, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of taxation laws and regulations, including GST and income tax.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
