Postgres SQL Developer

We are seeking a skilled Postgres SQL developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database design, implementation, and maintenance, as well as experience with Cloud Native principles and AWS services.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for an expert in Aurora PostgreSQL database performance & scalability, complex query tuning, monitoring, and incident response.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data systems, planning and deploying database infrastructure, and contributing to infrastructure changes to AWS.
  • They will also manage complex data replication environments and engage in on-call for production systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on development & operational experience with Postgres (AWS Aurora Postgres).
  • Experience with AWS Data Migration Service and extensive performance monitoring, troubleshooting & tuning experience.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and knowledge of hosting on cloud.
  • Hands-on knowledge of DevOps automation programming languages such as Java, Python, or Shell.
  • Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes, Splunk, Wavefront is a plus.
