Job Title : Database Migration Architect Senior Platform EngineerExperience : 8+ YearsLocation : Pune (Hybrid 2 Days in Office)Employment Type : Full-Time Employee (FTE)About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Engineer / Database Migration Architect to design, build, and integrate a comprehensive database migration service. This platform will support both homogeneous (e.g., Oracle to Oracle) and heterogeneous (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL, MSSQL to PostgreSQL) migrations, leveraging your deep expertise in RDBMS, Java, Kubernetes, and automation tools.Key Responsibilities : - Architect & Implement a robust, scalable database migration service.- Leverage RDBMS, Java, Kubernetes, and automation tools to streamline and optimize migrations.- Support both homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations across multiple environments.- Drive automation for provisioning, scaling, recovery, and other operational tasks.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and ensure seamless integration.- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance migration service performance.- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.- Stay updated on industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.Required Qualifications : - 8+ years of proven experience as a Platform Engineer, Database Migration Architect, or in a similar role.- Strong proficiency in RDBMS technologies Oracle, PostgreSQL (preferred), and MSSQL.- Advanced Java development skills.- Experience in cloud and database migration projects.- Proficiency with Kubernetes and config management tools (e.g., Ansible).- Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.- Familiarity with release and change management processes (ITIL framework).- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (Maven/Gradle).- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with event bus products (e.g., Kafka).- Working knowledge of Python.- Hands-on experience in TDD, BDD, and test automation.- Understanding of vendor evaluation and product deployment best practices.- Relevant industry certifications in databases, cloud platforms, or DevOps.Why Join Us?- Work on cutting-edge database migration solutions impacting enterprise-scale systems.- Hybrid work culture with flexibility and collaboration.- Opportunity to lead strategic migration initiatives and mentor talented engineers.
