Senior Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to lead our data development and analytics initiatives. This role will architect and optimize data solutions across relational and non-relational databases, manage a cross-functional data team, and implement scalable BI and reporting frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of SQL, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and performance optimization techniques. Experience with Business Intelligence tools and ETL tools is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of relational and non-relational databases to support business needs.
  • Manage and mentor a team of database developers, data engineers, and BI professionals.
  • Design and implement scalable data models, ETL pipelines, and enterprise-level reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Administer database performance tuning, backup strategies, and implement security protocols.
  • Define and enforce standards for data governance, data quality, and security.
  • Implement and manage Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Translate complex business needs into technical reporting solutions, dashboards, and data visualizations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in database development and data management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong command of SQL, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence tools and ETL tools.
  • Proficient in designing and maintaining data warehouse solutions and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience working with cloud services for data management and analytics.
  • Familiar with best practices in database security, backup, and disaster recovery.
