
Government Sales Specialist

We are seeking a driven Government Sales Specialist with proven experience and track record in selling to government customers. They should have expertise in doing business with public sector undertakings, ministries, and government departments. The ideal candidate will have at least 4–5 years of sales experience in the government sector.
Main Responsibilities- Identify and pursue business opportunities within Central Government, State Government, PSUs, and other public sector entities in Delhi/NCR.
- This is a field sales role requiring regular face-to-face meetings with customers.
- Manage GEM business, tendering processes, RFPs, rate contracts, and e-procurement portals effectively.
- The successful candidate will have a proven record of doing business with government customers.
- They should be able to consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets of ₹10-₹50 lac.
- Conduct cold calls, suspecting, networking, and prospecting to establish connections with key officials and decision-makers in government departments.
- Pursue revenue-generating orders or deals.
- Promote products including laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, storage devices, printers, copiers, scanners, projectors, plotters, UPS, and software solutions to government clients.
- Ensure compliance with government procurement guidelines, technical specifications, and bid requirements.
- The ideal candidate should have good relationships with at least 25 to 50 government customers.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to secure long-term contracts and repeat business.
- Strong knowledge of GeM buying process is essential.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in government sales (Office Automation & IT industry preferred).
- Knowledge: Strong familiarity with government procurement policies, tendering norms, and e-procurement platforms.
- This is a field sales role requiring regular face-to-face interactions with customers.
- Skills: Good communication skills in English (verbal & written)
- Location Knowledge: Well-versed with Delhi/NCR geography.
- Own conveyance (vehicle) and laptop is mandatory.
- Frequent visits to government departments and customer sites are expected.
