Job Opportunity: Mainframe Testing Specialist

About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Testing Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to work on complex mainframe testing projects and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure thorough testing of mainframe systems.
  • Analyze requirements and design effective test cases to identify defects early in the development cycle.
  • Prepare and execute test data, including JCL preparation and submission.
  • Analyze test results and report defects to the development team for prompt resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in mainframe testing with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools.
  • Expertise in editing JCL and creating test scripts for batch job execution.
  • Familiarity with TSO/ISPF commands and ability to navigate mainframe interfaces.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with developers and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with software testing life cycles (STLC) or Agile methodologies is a plus.
