Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned data engineer to oversee the development and implementation of complex ETL projects using GCP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carefully review high-level and low-level design documents to understand project requirements.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Hadoop/Mainframe ETL flows and create DEV/UAT environments in Teradata/Unix/Hadoop.
  • Effectively estimate space allocation and assign storage to Teradata DBs in SIT/UAT environments.
  • Migrate seed data from production to test environments utilizing Teradata utilities.
  • Design forklift jobs in mainframe to migrate production data to mainframe files using Fast-Export Utility and NDM (copy) the data file to lower lanes in Mainframe.
  • Set up ETL Jobs in regression efforts and execute flow execution in Autosys and Mainframe.
  • Coordinate tasks and delegate them to team members on a daily basis, participate actively in DSU calls and defect review meetings.
  • Develop comprehensive test cases with the help of Test Plan and review with Dev team.
  • Create efficient SQL scripts to validate Change Data Capture logic in Teradata.
  • Write automation script modules in TOSCA to execute regression scripts, run test scripts, and upload results to Qtest/QC.
