Marine Insurance Specialist Role

This is a key position that involves managing the marine practice, focusing on non-cargo operations and port insurance. It requires collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders to provide expert risk management advice to clients.

  • Manage a portfolio of marine insurance policies, ensuring timely renewals and adjustments as needed;
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase client satisfaction and retention rates;
  • Collaborate with underwriting teams to identify new business opportunities and develop custom insurance solutions for clients;
  • Provide training and support to junior team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge in marine insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing marine insurance portfolios for a diverse range of clients;
  • Analyzing complex insurance data to identify trends and areas for improvement;
  • Developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives to reduce claims frequency and severity;
  • Providing expert advice to clients on marine insurance matters, including policy selection and risk assessment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. maritime law, insurance);
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine insurance or a related field;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and identify areas for improvement;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
