Marine Practice Lead

At a leading marine insurance provider, we seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage the non-cargo practice for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of marine insurance complexities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of non-cargo clients, including port insurance, charterer legal liability, P&I insurance, claims, and builders all risk.
- Service existing clients and develop new business relationships with freight forwarders, NVOCCs, charterers, traders, shipowners, and stevedores.
- Study clients' existing portfolios and consult on risk management strategies.
- Conduct gap analysis of existing policies, suggest improvements, and negotiate better terms with markets.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely bookings and debit notes.
- Source best solutions for clients by interacting with relevant risk insurance markets.
- Place 100% of risks according to deadlines.
- Ensure complete documentation, including reinsurance documentation.
- Verify policy documents are in order and reach clients within agreed timeframes.
- Track renewals and send timely reminders for premium payments.
- A strong understanding of marine insurance and its complexities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
- Strong client service and business development skills.
