Job Title: Product Lead Commercial Lines Underwriting

About the Role: As a Product Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of commercial lines underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with regional underwriting teams and Sales/Distribution teams to achieve business objectives and optimize results.
  • Manage referrals for Marine Cargo underwriting, evaluating them based on prudent underwriting practices and adherence to industry guidelines.
  • Oversee the overall Marine portfolio, targeting profitability, sustainability, and growth through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.
  • Perform data analytics on the Marine book to identify key segments and assess their performance, informing strategic decisions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with audit requirements and relevant industry norms and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify system requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide guidance and training to regional underwriters and sales teams on Marine underwriting and products, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Work closely with other location underwriters and sales teams to ensure seamless development and service for Retail and Agency Marine business.

What You Will Need:

  • Proven experience in commercial lines underwriting, with a strong understanding of marine cargo risks and underwriting principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and inform strategic decisions.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, with the ability to ensure compliance and maintain high levels of quality.
