Job Title: Marine Insurance Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our marine insurance portfolio. This role involves overseeing the marine practice – Marine Non-Cargo (Port Insurance, Charterer legal liability, P&I Insurance, Claims, Builders All Risk) and driving growth through client acquisition and retention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow the marine insurance business, including servicing existing clients and developing new ones in freight forwarders/NVOCC/Charterers/traders/Shipowners/Stevedores industry
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of client portfolios and provide expert advice on risk management strategies
  • Analyze existing policies and negotiate with markets to secure better terms for clients
  • Collaborate with operations teams to onboard clients, generate debit notes, and ensure seamless policy administration
  • Negotiate with risk insurance markets to source solutions for clients and ensure timely renewals
  • Oversee the entire claims process, ensuring smooth settlement and prompt resolution
  • Develop and deliver workshops for clients on policy coverages, enhancing their understanding and adoption
Requirements:
  • Possess an MBA from a reputable institution
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general insurance, preferably in marine insurance
  • Proven ability to manage diverse client cultures and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Domain expertise in aviation, aerospace, and reinsurance
  • Familiarity with property and engineering lines
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive financial data
