Marine Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Mumbai.

This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

• Manage the marine practice – Marine Non-Cargo (Port Insurance, Charterer legal liability, P&I Insurance, Claims , Builders All Risk)
• Focus on servicing existing clients and developing new business opportunities with freight forwarders / NVOCC / Charterers / traders / Shipowners / Stevedores.
• Conduct gap analysis of client portfolios, suggest improved terms, and negotiate better deals with markets.
• Work with operations teams to ensure all bookings are completed in the system/generate debit notes.
• Interact with relevant risk insurance markets to source the best solutions for clients.
• Place 100% of risk according to deadlines.
• Ensure all documentations and reinsurance documents are complete.
• Verify policy documents are in order and reach clients within agreed timeframes.
• Renewal tracking and timely reminders for premium payments to ensure insurance continuity.
• Provide continuous support to clients regarding queries related to claims.
• Follow up with surveyors and insurers for smooth claim settlement.
• Organize workshops for clients on policy coverages along with insurers.

• MBA from a reputable business school.
• 5+ years of proven experience in general insurance industry.
• Ability to manage diverse client cultures of Indian Corporate, MNC Corporation, and PSU clients.
• Corporate Relationship Management/Business Solution Provider from a service background.
• Domain Knowledge necessary, especially aviation, aerospace, and reinsurance.
• Knowledge of property and engineering lines is an added advantage.
